Truly in minutes, that is!
This Pulao has a taste of distinction, unlike any other you would have had.
Without wasting much time, let me quickly jump to the recipe.
Ingredients
Masala
1 cup roasted chana dal
1/2 cup coconut cut to small pieces
1/2 cup ground nuts
1 tsp coriander seeds
2 tsp Jeera
8-10 garlic cloves
1 tbsp White sesame seeds
5 dried red chillies
10 curry leaves
1 cup basmati rice
1 cup chopped french beans
1/2 cup sweet corn kernels
1/2 cup green peas
2 onions finely chopped.
1 tsp ghee
2 tsp oil
Dry roast all the ingredients mentioned in Masala for 2 minutes (until they turn slight brown).
When it cools down, coarsely grind all the ingredients in mixer. It should not be a fine powder! Just grind for 5 seconds and it should be done.
Bring 5 cups of water to boil , add 1 tsp salt,1 tsp oil and rice.
Boil for 5 minutes, till rice is done. Strain the rice using a strainer and set aside.
In a hot pan, add part ghee, part oil. When its hot, add onions and fry till they turn transparent. Add rest of the vegetables and stir fry on high flame for 5 minutes mixing continuously.
Add salt and 2 tsps of masala and mix well.
Add rice and toss it well for 5 minutes.
Pulao is ready :-)
The masala prepared in the first step should be stored in an air tight container for future use.
The next time you make this pulao, it will be as easy as making maggi :)
Try it to believe it!
